Beginners and ambitious trail runners alike who consider themselves to be of average ability and want to try out the vertical format. Occasional technical sections with considerable elevation gain.
The VTC is a pure uphill adventure – from the heart of Innsbruck up to the Seegrube. All that matters is the way up – as fast as possible, on steep paths, past the city, forest, and rocks, the runners cover over 1,300 meters of elevation gain over 7.4 kilometers.
Challenging elevation gain with occasional technical sections uphill. Depending on your ambition, you can enjoy the ride or—for trail enthusiasts—really push yourself.
